Eating Disorder Recovery
Eating disorders can affect anyone, regardless of age, gender, ethnicity, or body size. Eating disorder recovery requires a holistic and collaborative treatment approach that address all psychosocial-emotional aspects that go beyond food and body image. As a licensed clinical psychologist, I am trained to help walk you through your recovery process. I support a range of clients from a compassionate, weight-inclusive perspective. Some may be healing from a diagnosed eating disorder, and others wish they felt more at ease with food and their bodies.
Disordered eating
Over exercise
Body dysmorphia
Body dissatisfaction
Feelings of guilt, shame, or embarrassment after eating
Anorexia Nervosa (AN)
Bulimia Nervosa (BN)

I have developed relationships with residential, partial hospital, and intensive outpatient treatment centers should we decide that your level of need rises above what we can work through in our sessions. I also regularly work with registered dietitians and medical physicians who monitor physical health and nutritional needs, which gives us the space to focus our attention beyond the food.
My Approach
Compassion Focused Therapy
Compassion Focused Therapy for Eating Disorders (CFT-E) is an adaptation of CBT that is backed by the latest research in the treatment of eating disorders. By centering your ability to cultivate self-compassion, we’ll address the shame and self-criticism underneath your struggle to have a positive relationship with food and your body.
Integrative Approach
Eating disorder treatment can involve different levels of care for an integrative and wrap around approach. This may include individual outpatient therapy, family therapy, group support, and coordinated care with other specialists, such as registered dietitians, physicians, and psychiatric prescribers.
